PlanetEye

Welcome to the New PlanetEye!

Over the past few months, there’s been a lot of work happening behind the scenes to create a new look for PlanetEye. But it’s more than just a “fresh coat of paint”. As important, we’ve added some exciting new features so travelers find our one-stop travel planning service even more valuable and insightful.

In particular, you will see the Travel Pack is now front and center. A Travel Pack is our flagship planning tool that lets PlanetEye users collect interesting hotels, restaurants, attractions, activities and photos they discover while exploring PlanetEye. You can use a Travel Pack when planning a trip or simply putting together ideas for your next adventure.

Recent Travel Packs

A great feature within a Travel Pack is the ability to personalize recommendations based on what you like to do on vacation. We also let you select “Trusted Sources” such as the New York Times, Golf Digest, and Condé Nast to provide valuable editorial content relevant to what you do while traveling. To set your Travel Interests and Trusted Sources, go to your profile and click on “Set My Travel Interests”.

A Snapshot of New Features

- The Travel Pack has been enhanced so it’s easier to create, build and share your adventures. Travel Packs now feature personalized recommendations to encourage the discovery of new restaurants, hotels, attractions and activities. PlanetEye users can customize these recommendations based on their interests and the travel sources they want to influence how our extensive database is prioritized for their needs.

- The new design makes it easy for members to create and share their own Travel Packs featuring their photos and activities to help others plan their next adventure. When exploring PlanetEye, you will now be presented with relevant Travel Packs based on the location that you are viewing. If inspired by what you see, you can quickly make these Travel Packs your own to help shape your own travel plans.

– Our maps now feature better categorization and the ability to display one or multiple categories at the same time. If, for example, you want to see top-rated restaurants, attractions and activities within close proximity to a hotel you are considering, it’s a snap to do.

- An improved search engine provides immediate feedback and suggestions. This means faster and more effective results for people looking for destinations, restaurants, hotels, attractions and landmarks.

- A new hotel booking partner: Venere.com, a leader in the online reservations market offering more than 20,000 places to stay – from hotels and B&Bs to guest houses and vacation rentals.
